Ani Alanakian’s writing journey began at the age of 16, but life first led her into the nursing profession. Yet, her passion for storytelling never faded. In 2021, she finally published her own collection of stories in her second language, Persian—a milestone in her literary path. Her collection showcases a unique narrative style, masterfully blending illusion and reality.
Recently, Ani has been revisiting, refining, and translating her works into English while also adding fresh, compelling stories to the collection. Her writings stand out as a distinctive literary experience, leaving a lasting and profound impact on readers.
Ani Alanakian’s writing journey began at 16, but life’s path led her first to a career in nursing. Born in 1974, she carried her love for storytelling through the years, finally publishing her debut collection four years ago. This debut collection of 14 stories, published four years ago, showcases her unique approach to storytelling, with many of the stories written in her signature truth-illusion style. Recently, Ani has revisited and refined these earlier works, adding new depth and perspective while continuing to create fresh, impactful narratives. Her writing, a blend of personal reflection and artistic vision, leaves a lasting impression.
